Carlane is in the parish of Duneane, Co. Antrim -- the same parish as Moneyglass, the seat of Thomas Morres Jones, for whom Carolan composed 'Bumper Squire Jones'(no. 65) Possibly he composed the present air during the same visit; but I have been unable to discover any particulars regarding Mrs. O'Neill. ...
